Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Hours are published for 4 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (281) 367-8805. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is growinggreatgrins.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Shenandoah is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Shenandoah is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I can’t say this enough Growing Great Grins is literally the best dentist office! I can confidently say that there is not a better pediatric dentist than Dr Blackburn and her staff! Dr Blackburn was born for this, it’s a calling not a job for her! They always make Amelia feel seen and heard. Amelia has had extensive work done and they have slowly worked with her to make her comfortable so the work can be done without going under anesthesia. We love them and I will never take her anywhere else!

My daughter began her dental journey at 3 with 2 cleanings and one X-ray session per year. Today we had her first cavity filling at 4.5 and wow! I was so impressed with Dr Blackburn and Mrs. Mona's professionalism and efficiency. To be completely honest, I was a little worried that their approach was almost too kid friendly but watching them in action solidified my confidence that we were at the right dental office for my kids. My daughter loves coming to the dentist and to see her smiling and excited entering and leaving (especially for a cavity visit) was all the confirmation I needed. Thank you for all that y'all do!

The team and Dr. Blackburn are very nice to my son. They take their time with him and are very thorough. They are always smiling and willing to take their time on helping my son to feel less stress with the environment and the equipment. He really enjoys coming to his appointments.

Dr. Leslie Blackburn was amazing with my 17 month old. She took the time to answer my questions and she was gentle yet effective with acclimating my baby girl. We enjoyed our first visit and look forward to returning! Added bonus was the play room - my daughter loved it so much that she forgot she was there for a medical appointment! I could tell she was nervous, as she was holding me super tightly. But she soon forgot about everything once we were in the play area. She had a blast meeting other children too. The play area gave us a good chunk of playtime that I was planning on doing after the appointment and it helped both of us decompress before heading in :). Everybody we met was very kind and friendly. We are glad we found such a great caring office with wonderful staff.

The staff is amazing! A great location the office has a place for the kids to play and entertain while we wait! Dr. Blackburn is definitely a β€œchild whisperer β€œ she is patient and does cute little skits with the kids to get the job done! Then at the end of the visit they get a bag full of goodies! We love it here! Thank you Growing Great Grins! Will continue my kids treatment till they are too old to go!
